Our Services

We offer a variety of services to keep your large animals fit and healthy. Some of our services can also be fulfilled by our experienced team of technicians.

Condition Scoring

Assessment of a cow’s body condition score (BCS) gives a visual estimate of her body fat reserves.

  • Determining future feed requirement (and feedback on historical strategy)
  • Determining which cows to dry-off and when
  • Explaining reproductive performance (condition at mating or BCS lost post-calving)

Vaccinations

Vaccinations play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of large farm animals, such as cattle. These vaccinations are administered to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and minimize the potential impact on animal health and productivity.

Cow Scanning

Using ultrasound technology to examine the reproductive organs and assess the reproductive status of cows.

FREE Spore Counting

Spore counting can aid in disease forecasting, as certain fungal pathogens have specific environmental conditions or spore thresholds associated with disease development.

Nitrate Testing

Nitrate testing is a process used to determine the levels of nitrates present in crops and new grass.

Repro

Reproductive Management, Reproductive Physiology, Reproductive Technologies, Reproductive Disorders and Diseases.

Animal Health

Animal Health encompasses various aspects of care and management for large farm animals, covering subjects such as nutrition and feeding, disease prevention and control, reproductive health, environment, and general welfare.

Lameness

Lameness refers to an inability to properly use one or more limbs. It is most often associated with pain or injury. The most common causes of acute or sudden lameness in cows are laminitis, claw disease, and foot rot.

Drenching

The administration of liquid medications or oral solutions, such as dewormers, vitamins, minerals, or medications, directly into the animal’s digestive system for therapeutic or preventive purposes.

Mineral Bullets

Mineral bullets are used for the control of trace element and mineral deficiencies, particularly around the calving period, in grazing cattle.

Herd Health

Veterinary Care and Consultation, Disease Prevention and Management, Herd Performance Monitoring and Data Analysis. We work closely with farm owners, managers, and staff to develop and implement effective strategies for maintaining herd health, preventing diseases, and maximizing animal welfare and productivity.

Mastitis Testing

Diagnosing and assessing the presence of mastitis, using various methods and techniques to detect and identify the causative agents, determine the severity of the infection, and guide appropriate treatment decisions.

De horning

Dehorning, also known as disbudding, is a common practice in cattle management that involves the removal or reduction of the horns of cows, typically for safety, handling, and herd management.
